Van Houten est une marque emblématique spécialisée dans la fabrication de chocolat, reconnue pour sa longue histoire et sa réputation de qualité. Fondée en 1828 aux Pays-Bas, la marque a introduit des innovations majeures dans le domaine du chocolat, notamment le procédé de traitement du cacao par pression hydraulique inventé par Coenraad Van Houten, permettant d'extraire le beurre de cacao du cacao en poudre. Cette technique a permis de produire un chocolat plus fin, plus lisse et plus facile à utiliser dans la fabrication de diverses confiseries.

La marque Van Houten est aujourd'hui la propriété du groupe Barry Callebaut.
