Tips for using the Kenya piston coffee maker:

	1. Place the coffee maker on a dry, flat and not slippery surface. Hold the handle firmly, then turn the lid in the opposite direction of the needles to open, then pull the piston vertically and remove it from the coffee maker
	2. For a 12 cl cup, add a dosser spoon included Bodum of coarsely ground coffee in the coffee maker.  Attention: use only roughly ground coffee. Fine grains could obstruct the filter and create too high pressure
	3. Pour hot water (not boiling) in the coffee maker. Leave an empty space of at least 2.5 cm at the top of the container. Stir with a plastic spoon.  Caution: Metal spoons can scratch or crack the pourier and damage the coffee maker.
	4. Place the piston's element at the top of the coffee maker. Turn the cover in the needles of a watch to close the opening of the spout. Do not sink the piston.  let coffee infuse for at least 4 min.
	5. Hold the container firmly with the beak distant from you, then using only the weight of your hand, exert a low pressure at the top of the button to drive the piston into the container. The result is optimal if you drive it slowly with a minimum pressure. If the filter is blocked or if it becomes difficult to drive the piston,Remove it from the coffee maker, stir the mixture and then gently stick the piston again.  Danger: The burning liquid can spring out of the coffee maker if you press too hard.
	6. Make sure the lid is in a closed position before serving. Press the lever on the lockable lid to open the spout and pour the coffee.

This piston coffee maker is really ecological because it does not need a paper filter or a plastic capsule.
