Introduction:

The coffee machines and appliances sold by MAPALGA obviously benefit from the guarantee conditions provided for by the regulations.

In the event of a fault on your device, we invite you to consult your user manual to find answers to a certain number of cases of malfunctions that you can resolve by yourself.

Important: The warranty does not cover damage caused by faulty use or maintenance. On coffee machines, kettles and generally any device operating with water and ingredients, the maintenance instructions must be followed to the letter, particularly for limescale, humidity, etc.

Failure to follow maintenance instructions, improper handling, or attempts at repair by an unqualified person or descaling carried out with vinegar, which is too aggressive for internal joints and connections.

Domestic appliances: Legal guarantee of conformity.

This is a guarantee against conformity defects already existing on the date of delivery of the product.

We speak of a lack of conformity in the following situations:

  • The device is unfit for the intended use of a similar item
  • The device does not correspond to the description given by the seller even if it works perfectly. For example, the color does not match the model presented.
  • The product does not have the qualities announced by the seller or agreed with the customer
  • The item has a manufacturing defect, an imperfection, a notable poor assembly
  • In the event of delivery by MAPALGA, the installation was not carried out correctly.

The Guarantee does not cover consumables (descaler, filters, etc.) damage due to limescale, malfunctions linked to the use of accessories not recognized by the manufacturer, the consequences of any transformation, dismantling of the device, as well as any damage not objectively attributable to the device itself (fall of the device, mechanical shocks, electric shocks, flooding, exposure to humidity, frost, etc.), likewise, misuse, handling errors, lack of maintenance and their consequences are not covered by the warranty.

  • After-sales service conditions for GAGGIA coffee machines

The contractual warranty is two years from the date of purchase, for a purchase made from a MAPALGA authorized GAGGIA reseller).

In mainland France, it includes costs related to the repair (diagnosis, labor and spare parts, as well as return and return costs)

Outside mainland France, transport costs remain your responsibility

In the event of a device defect, first refer to the device's instructions for use and consult the "troubleshooting" and/or "Assistance" section. Several events can in fact be regulated by yourself by consulting these pages, in particular for the flow, the start-up, the positioning of the coffee group...

If the display announces an error code, or if the lights come on or flash in an abnormal combination, write them down to refer to the user manual for an explanation.

Also remember that machine maintenance may be involved (cleaning, descaling, etc.), and that you may need to recommend the necessary consumables here .

Restart your device several times to confirm the existence of the fault or not.

If none of the above advice works, then call our GAGGIA after-sales service at 03-62-72-58-44.

Before calling, be sure to collect the following:

- Model and serial number of your appliance (either on a label stuck under the bottom of the appliance, or by opening the access door to the coffee group for automatics)

- Date of purchase of your machine and invoice (see your invoice in the "my account" section on the MAPALGA website)

- Precise description of the problem, if possible with the error code and/or the lights concerned

The after-sales service agent will provide you with additional elements to help you, and if necessary will initiate a return procedure for repair in the GAGGIA workshop.

After-sales service conditions for SAECO Professional coffee machines

SAECO professional range machines purchased by the customer on the Mapalga.fr website benefit from a two-year warranty which applies as follows:
  • When intervention is necessary, the user contacts the after-sales service, which is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • If the advice and tests carried out by telephone do not resolve the problem, the after-sales service then decides to send a loaner machine to the customer within 24 hours, and take back the faulty device so that it can be checked and repaired in the brand's workshops.
  • When the device is repaired, it is delivered to the customer and the loaner device is then taken back.
The 2-year warranty (parts and labor) does not cover consumables (descaler, filters, etc.) damage due to limescale, operating faults linked to the use of accessories not recognized by SAECO, the consequences of any transformation, dismantling of the device, as well as any damage not objectively attributable to the device itself (drop of the device, mechanical shocks, electric shocks, flooding, exposure to humidity, frost, etc.), likewise, misuse, handling errors, lack of maintenance and their consequences are not covered by the warranty.

Spare parts

MAPALGA offers the sale of original spare parts to allow the customer to repair their equipment themselves and thus avoid throwing away a large number of devices.

However, the customer must ensure the correct diagnosis because replacing a spare part can lead to its deterioration if the diagnosis is incorrect and another component causes its deterioration. In such a case, no exchange or refund will be possible.

New spare parts are guaranteed for two years from their date of purchase. Refurbished parts are guaranteed for one year.

The Warranty does not cover so-called consumable parts which are in reality wear and handling parts:

  • Filters, pipette seal,of coffee group, coffee group, containers, lids, aesthetic parts, cappuccinatore..

Moreover, damage to spare parts linked to the following causes does not allow the application of the guarantee.

  • Deterioration linked to limestone
  • Damage caused by coffees containing gravel, compounds such as sugar, aromas, water. Some major brand industrial coffees are in fact cooled with water and cause damage to the wheels, mills and diffusion circuits.
  • Using unsuitable products (example of vinegar to descale (too acidic))
  • Falls, mechanical shocks, electric shocks, flooding, exposure to humidity, frost, etc.),
  • bad connections (file inversion, etc.), diagnostic errors
