The Piston, or French Press, coffee maker has been popular in France for over 60 years. It is is made up of a glass container , equipped with a lid and a piston perfectly fitted to the cylinder and having a fine mesh filter.

This type of coffee maker requires ground coffee with a coarser grind to prevent the coffee from passing through the mesh. Allow around 30g of coffee for 500ml of water.
