Brazil is the largest producer of coffee in the world, it is also the second largest consumer of coffee. Very specialized in Arabica varieties, it produces approximately 30% of world demand.

According to historians, coffee was introduced to Brazil in 1723 from Cayenne or Surinam, but it was the Portuguese Francisco de Melo Palheta who, in 1727, succeeded in sustainably establishing the culture, with the Bourbon variety.

Brazil will then take the lead in world production from 1830. It is a country whose climate is favorable with heat, humidity and the cultivation areas at altitude are fortunate to be flat and clear to improve the work.

Several regions are very coffee-producing: the state of Sao Paulo, the Rio region, but also Pernambuco, Bahia,  Paraná . But the best are grown in the region of Minas Gerais, a true qualitative Eldorado for coffee. This state concentrates the best terroirs with Cerrado in the North, Mogiana in the West and also Sul de Minas in the South.
