The water is more or less hard (or limestone). It depends on the water capture areas and regions. The more the water is rich in calcium and magnesium, the harder it is (limestone). The hardness of the water is measured by the "hydrotimetric title" (TH) or in German degree (DH).
Note: This strip is provided for a unit in German degree (DH). The conversion into French degree (TH) is as follows: 1 DH = 1.78 th.
The more the water is rich in calcium and magnesium, the harder it is (limestone).
If you want to use bottled water, be sure to check the presence of calcium (at least 70% responsible for hardness), to choose the lowest value. Generally the waters of Auvergne, Brittany or Corsica are ideal because these regions are deemed to be "little limestone".
